Review
I was recently sent the Fab Girls Guide to Getting Through Tough Times to review. It is a compilation of stories written by girls for other girls, centering on the middle school ages and some of the typical situations that girls in that age bracket may face. The book is made up of excerpts from the magazine written by girls aged 8 and up and topics covered include: friendship issues, family hardship, loss and overcoming dark times. I thought the book was a good overview of some of the situations a girl may find herself in, though by no means exhaustive. It demonstrated not only how to get through situations over which you have no control, but also how to take responsibility for your actions when it comes to things you might have done wrong yourself. Fab Girls Guide to Getting Through Tough Times has some valuable information about weathering the storm when life gets difficult, particularly when dealing with friendship issues, but it may not be reachable to some of its intended audience. --propsandpans.com

A Kid's Review
This book is "fab" for any girl. This is the fourth book out of the "Fab Girls" series by Discovery Girls. Inside are touching, true stories about girls our age who are "Getting through tough times" and solve them with ways we can learn from. They teach us valuable lessons to follow by, such as not taking what we have for granted, seeing the better in others, and to not judge people before you get to know them. Once you start reading, there's no stopping until the end of it! Oh, and don't be surprised to shed a tear or two!

Inspiring Stories!!
This book is full of inspiring stories! It shows stories of many girls who have to deal with tough times but they all handle them in a great way. It really makes you think about what you call a bad day and what these girls call one. This book makes you realize what you sometimes take for granted. These girls have lost parents, lost friends, and have had to deal with problems like diabetes. These stories are really great!

Getting Through Tough Times Review
Getting Through Tough Times is so great!! Girls write about tough times they've been through and tell their sad stories. It makes you appreciate your life and how lucky you've been to not have to experience what they have. I have two good friends whose mother died and one of the stories in this book related to it exactly. It made me understand what they were going through. Every girl should have this book!!
